    Fakebook and My Fake Wall
    http://www.classtools.net/fb/home/page
    http://www.myfakewall.com
    This allows users to create a fake "Facebook-like" wall for characters, historical figures, etc. complete with images, friends, comments, etc.
    My Fake Wall seems to experience quite a bit of downtime. Both of these sites are loaded with ads, so you may want to consider using something like AdBlock Plus for Chrome, Firefox, or IE.

    MagToo- Like RockYou, this site made cool slideshows with special effects from your images. I think they had some major copyright issues with their music.
    Moblyng- used to be a slideshow generator like slide.com and rockyou.com, but no longer!
    MyFakeWall.com- This was a nice, fake Facebook wall builder where students could tell a story through a Facebook wall. It became a redirect to an escort service! Yikes!
    MyPodcast.com- This site hosted your podcast for free, but inserted some audio advertising. They provided the feed and everything necessary for you to create a podcast.
    MyWebspiration- OK, in all fairness, this product from the makers of Inspiration is not dead- but the free version is. It was/is a great way to create mind maps online with graphics and all.

    This is similar to WallWisher (see below), but this site runs so much faster! You can place stickies, images, and documents (or other files). Plus, you can embed videos from Vimeo, YouTube, or UStream. Users can add items without logging in (except for files- that requires a login). The interface is great and simple! There are no capabilities to embed the wall elsewhere, but you'll want the full size anyway!
    My Fake Wall {http://digitalgoonies.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/ben.jpg}
    This handy site is still being developed some (it’s in Beta right now), but it’s got all kinds of potential. We’ve seen some offline projects where history teachers have students draw Facebook profiles and walls for certain historical figures- and have seen something similar in literature classes during biography units. But this site allows students to build what looks like an authentic Facebook wall for the person of their own choosing. They can upload images of the selected person as well as their fake FB friends (contemporaries of the character). Students then make fake FB posts by the character, complete with “likes” and comments from other characters. Take a look at this nice Benjamin Franklin wall.
    Now before you get too excited, there are some things (limitations) you should be aware of:
    Other users cannot post comments on the created fake walls of others.
    The site is full of ads (that’s how they make their money). I use a browser plug-in (Ad block plus for Firefox) that is set to not show all these ads. So although my screenshot looks clean, it’s really not so clean in reality!
    The site has been fairly slow here lately… I’m just saying.
    Registration is required to build a wall.

    Wall Wisher
    At this handy little site, participants can post sticky-note types of comment with text, images, and links. The wall is shared with anyone who has access to the URL or locked down to you as the wall creator. And another great option- you can set it up so that all posts have to be approved by you first if that's what you wish. Logging in is only necessary to create private/moderated walls, change options, etc.
